for sale

what's for sale, you say? well, i am so stoked you asked. because, you name it, it's for sale.

nikon d300 dslr? you betcha.
nikon 17-55 mm ED 1:2.8 DX? absolutely.
nikon 50 mm 1.4? uh-huh.
3 year-old black honda odyssey xl? yep.
13 year-old, blind, deaf, diabetic black miniature schnauzer? most definitely.
36 year-old, strappy, intelligent, tall, handy man? quite possibly.
1 day-old, half-eaten, ripped bag of kettle corn? hmmmm. i'll have to get back with you on that one.

what's with the "everything must go" sale? i'll tell ya'. it's one word, one number, and one lowercase letter: canon 5d

i rented it this past week, and once i figured-out how to turn it on (nikon and cannon are about as different as me and scottie), i was hooked. just like when i figured out how to open my first box of crunch 'n' munch. (oh, precious memories.)

anywho. once i figured out what buttons to push and how to read the meter (which is backwards-of course), this was my first sooc (straight out of camera) shot. nothin' done to it. oh, except i think i warmed it up a little by accident. forgot to reverse that.

this is with a 1 minute edit:

now, my pea brain knows that nikon is a better made camera. and, obviously, i am much more comfortable shootin' with one. but, there is just somethin' about canon colors that make my heart happy. it is totally an individual taste thingy. like chevy and ford. coke and pepsi. everyone knows that chevy's better and coca-cola's better. it's purely a personal taste.

now, if you'll excuse me, i'm off to make my sign. "will work for full-frame canon and/or canon L series prime lenses" it's gonna take a while. i wanna make it easy to hold. poor scottie's got sausage fingers.

fair2

yes sir, it's the best state fair in the state.

fair15

i was born in kentucky, and lived there for 25 years. never went to the state fair. lived up here for 7 years and haven't missed a one. therefor, i have nothin' to compare it to. but, i'm sure it doesn't hold a candle to my ol' kentucky home's. i bet it's the best state fair in the all the united states. you know it probably so is.

oh and i know what you're thinkin'. you're thinkin' i'm a dweeb-butt. but, you know what i've got to say to that? i rule. you drool. :p

shout out

to my neighbors for keepin' our kitchen full of sights like these:
garden2
garden4
garden3
garden1

now, normally, i would be against such laziness. i mean the ol' adage, "if you teach a man to fish," are, in my opinion, words to live by. but, in this case, i would prefer you guys just keep fishin' and then sharin' your fish with us. thank you very much. it is highly appreciated. very muchly. a lot of thanks. mucho thank-o. oh, and i almost forgot the shout out, "woot-woot!"
