lions and tigers and virus'
oh my! Seriously, We had the most traditional Bourland/Comer Thanksgiving ever, but then again...not really. There was turkey, football, the circus, cousins, and crazy uncles;). However, there was also a lot of vomit and even a trip to the ER. (poor Wes bug). But, all-in-all, a great time was had by all. Now it's time to get back and face the reality that ...we live in Indy (Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!)

I'm with the skader boy...
and the football boy, and the baseball boy, and the drummer boy. Will is definitely a "jack-of-all-trades". And, I love that! I had a hard time keeping him on one thing so I could take pics in the freezin' cold. One day, they'll thank me. Right? Well, anyway, it's almost time to put the eatin' pants on! And I can think of nothing, tonight, that I am more thankful for, (other than my Jesus and mashed potatoes) than my scrumptious family. Man, got food on the brain! ;0) Gobble! Gobble!

twins with benefits...
one of them went home after a few hours!:) I tried so hard to get some good shots of Laney and Wes this morning. (pause...I'm beatin' my head against the wall) I think I'm just gonna do newborns. Honestly, there was no light, but I ended up, pretty much the whole time, with someone on my back or beating me in the head or stikin' their fingers down my throat (don't ask). They're fun though. Just like twins, with benefits:)!!!!!

"holy crap on a cracker!"
I kinda got the feeling that's what Wes was thinkin' when he got his hand caught in a ray of sun coming through the windows this morning. He was amazed at the way it illuminated his hand. I was on the phone and he kept trying to get my attention. Like he was some Einstein and had discovered this new and cool thing. I feel so blessed to be there for his "aah ha" moments.

BOO!!!!!

So, we don't celebrate "Halloween", but we do celebrate free candy. And seeing that this is another reason to have Fall Fun, we're all in. Wes was a UK football player (gasp, shock), Will was a wait for it, wait for it, PIRATE! Maddie was another blond teen star this year, Taylor Swift, and Laney was a beautiful sunflower!!! We went to Lori and Forrest's neighborhood so they could get to meetin' their neighbors (not near as much candy was accumulated, but we had fun)! I continued my tradition of potato soup (SOOOOO yummy!) and I made a new one...butterscotch blondie pie ala mode. We had dry ice, bon fire with s'mores, and pumpkin carving. So, needless to say, it was my kinda night!!! Oh, Fall, I love you!
P.S.
I've made the switch to full manual mode on my DSLR. Watch out tarawhitney.com!!!
