who had his first dentist appointment yesterday? i'll give you a hint...
nothing? really? come on. it's on the tip of your tongue, isn't it?
ok. i'll give you another clue. the same "mess" had his first day of pre-school today. geez. you're killin' me here. wes. that was the answer. i kill me.
seriously? seriously. i have a niece gettin' married? could that be right? well, but now let's clear this up. i married the baby of the comer crew. and i was just a young girl when i did that. and chelsie is a young bride herself. 'cause if you do the math i was only 11 when she was born. 11. i mean, we could be sisters. so i guess i could just call her my little sister. phew. much better. now i can carry on with this post. the one where i get to post engagement shots of my little sista, chelsie and her fiance, andrew.
oh, but first, i gotta say that these two drove a car to meet me. not the motorcycle or the train. ok. carry on.
another picture taken the mornin' of the first day of school.
what i wouldn't give to get rid of half of the pictures my momma took of us before our first days of school. one year, i had a mullet. one year, i had canker sore. and one year, i had anorexia. what? who said that? well, that's another story, for another post. this one is 'bout my agin' kiddos...
(just keepin' it real.)
Jesus watch over my babies this new school year. please.
quitter. giver upper. loser. one that flew over the cuckoo's nest. however you spin it. i have been just 'bout every one of these things the past few weeks. it's like i have hit a brick wall. i want to keep learnin' photography. i want to watch tutorials. i want to read books. i want play with my camera. i want to buy "popcorn indiana" so i will never have to stare at an empty store shelf where kettle-corn used to be. just when i think i'm gettin' somewhere, i do somethin' to step my booty back two steps.
i always thought i would, most likely, grow up to be some sort of music teacher. i loved singing. i loved music. but, i was never passionate about it. i never felt what i feel when i grip my camera and lift it to my eye. photography makes my heart sing. it really, truly does. and, i guess that's why i get so frustrated when i can't figure somethin' out. or when i make the same mistake over and over. it just feels so counter-intuitive. and, i know with a little time and silence, i could really make some strides to get where it is i wanna be. that, and about 4 grand.
but... that's not to be. not right now.
and so, i often find myself singin' the hannah montana song, the climb. or should i say miley cyrus? oh, who the heck gives a flyin' flippin' hoot? the point is, i just want to say thank you, ms. cyrus. i. can. not. be.lieve. it. but, you've been my inspiration. oh, good grief. i can't believe that statement is true.
lawless family, i know that the post processing on these is all over the board and has no continuity whatsoever, but i hope you enjoy them anyway. guess that's what happens when you can only process one picture at a time. but, whatcha gonna do?
