one word? i can do that. can i do that? okay, Jesus. uhhh, would people know what i meant? or would they think i thought i was Jesus?
hmmm. i'll try again. love. gag. juicy. alrighty. that's about enough of that.
i know! i'll ask my family.
"family, describe me using only one word." (i jumped back and braced myself between the kitchen island and the stove, closed my eyes and ducked in anticipation of a full-on aerial assault of sarcasm.)
will: awesome!
maddie: yeah, awesome. you're the best mom.
scottie: the first word that came to my mind was, beautiful. i truly believe you are (at this point, i could see that his jaw was moving up and down, but i couldn't hear a word he was sayin'.)
wes: can i have a snack?
well then. i was not expectin' that. awesome? beautiful? snack? that totally caught me off guard. and i started smilin' and gigglin', 'cause that was the biggest bunch of b-o-l-o-g-n-a!!!
i looked these people in their eyes and proceeded to correct their inaccurate observations. the word, friends, they were searchin' for was...random.
they all agreed with me. 'cause they know it's true. i am the most random person. in everything. but, please, don't pity me. (unless you like to show your pity by bestowing tickets to the 2010 NCAA Men's Final Four Basketball Tournament. in that case, *sniff *sniff, woe is me.)
but seriously. i'm random because my mind is going in so many different directions, i can never stay on one topic for very long. i will, quit literally, stand in the hallway and make two or three complete circles, while waitin' for my mind to get it together and send a message to my feet which way i need to walk. bathroom? no. bedroom? no. downstairs? yes! that's it! downstairs. we have a winner!
now. here is your chance to click that "x" in the top left corner of your screen and run like the dickens. because, now, i am just going to allow my mind to, "have at it." complete randomness follows...
1. wes has a 'stache. actually, if we're bein' honest, he's had it since birth.
2. i wish my face always looked like it does after i've been standin' on my head for a few seconds.
3. i dig it when i'm somewhere with a lot of people, like the ymca, and we all stop to watch something on television together. it makes me feel like we're experiencin' something historical together. like when jfk was shot, or elvis died, or the first man landed on the moon. or when kate gosselin makes a fool of herself on dancing with the stars.
4. i was checkin' on laney and wes in the bathroom last week. i walked in to find laney standing on the stool and wes sitting on the floor wippin' her with a softball size wade of toilet paper. laney said, "wes is helpin' me, baa." (that's what she calls me.) alrighty then. perhaps this should remain private. oops.
5. i don't get cheerleaders. (sorry mitzi.) i mean, really? we need cheerleaders? we were watching the kentucky game this past weekend and the other team was bringin' the ball up the court. it got a bit quite for a moment, and you hear one of the kentucky cheerleaders yell, "de-de-de-defense!" do you think the players were like, "dagummit! i was totally not remembering to play defense. thank God tiffany was here to remind me! " i think not.
6. i was greeted, one day last week, at the front door by a stack of books, all titled, why not women?

i don't know, mom. why not women? thanks for the books. i'll send one to my pastor, and then i'll put the others in the basket designated and labeled, "money my mom wasted, because she refuses to accept that her oldest daughter doesn't read." ;)
8. i love nutella.

and this is what my left hand looked like while my right hand was peckin' out this post, all by its' lonesome.

try and guess who else likes nutella.

and finally, the be all and end all of randomness. the always enjoyable, giant inflatable beaver.
